Salona is the most important dalmatian archeological spot, maybe even in the whole Croatia. When you are walking through the city you can feel the Roman spirit and early Christian spirit that takes you back in the past as you are walking next to the old Basilica Urbana, its baptistery and the old Christian cemetery Manastirine. Few hundred meters on the south you can enter through the main City Gate in the Roman city which offers you Amphiteather, Theather, Forum, and other architectural essentials as the roads, bridges and Urban Spa. On the exit from the city Frane Bulić built Tusculum (house with a yard) in which he welcomed scientists on the first International Congress for early Christian culture in 1894. Today it is used as a memorial collection dedicated to him and upstairs rooms are used by archeologist and scientist interested in exploring this area.
